Freeport Zone Office – The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) governmental body is mandated to transform former US military bases into alternative and profitable civilian use. This body is a government-owned and controlled corporation. It is a government instrumentality vested with corporate powers under Republic Act 7227, signed into law in 1992. The BCDA continues as a strong entity in creating economic opportunities in the Philippines. It has been on a designated path to establish integrated developments, Freeport Zones, recreational mega zones, dynamic business centers and vibrant communities.
