The Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is a division of the Philippine government that provides for many areas of improvement and functionality of the government and its citizens. The DFA helps contribute to the improvement of national security and territorial integrity and sovereignty. It is also tasked with sustaining continued development and enhancing the competitiveness of the Philippines. The DFA also is the main governmental organization that protects the rights and the welfare of Filipino overseas workers and those away from home. It is also a promotional arm of the Philippines that helps promote international understanding of it’s culture to help it bound with other cultures.
