Subic Technics Inc is the Philippines manufacturing arm of the large Technics Inc. The parent company is engaged in the manufacturer of a line high-end audio and recording equipment. Some of the products include high-end direct-drive turntables, speaker systems, amplifiers, receivers, wireless earbuds and more. The company’s arm in Subic Bay listed sector is assembly of microphones. Technics is an original brand of Panasonic Corporation. The company has been in existence since 1965 in Japan. Technicswas initially started to develop a line of high-end audio equipment to compete against other audiophile equipment manufacturers of the day. From 2002 onwards products were rebranded as Panasonic except in Japan and a few other countries. The name was retained in Japan and some other countries due to the high regard the products had in those countries. The mother company discontinued the Technics brand for most products in 2010. Some of the products were revived in 2015. The new focus was on high-end turntables for the retro vinyl record rebirth and DJ world. The Technics brand is best known today for the SL-1200 DJ turntable, an industry standard for many decades.
